Personal Bio: Matt is an El Paso, Texas native who began his soccer career at just five years old. During his youth, he played for multiple top clubs in the El Paso area, including El Paso United, a select team that represented El Paso, Texas in Top International tournaments such as Dallas Cup.

He played Varsity soccer his entire high school career earning All District first team, All State first team, All Region first team as well as winning MVP and Mr. Soccer for El Paso, Texas. He continued his soccer career at San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas, where he captained the team and earned All American. He then spent the next twenty years playing for the Major Indoor Soccer League and Professional Arena Soccer League, where he won two Championship titles with the Milwaukee Wave in 2011 and 2012. In 2006, he began playing with the U.S. Men’s National Futsal Team to play in various tournaments including CONCACAF World Cup Qualification in Guatemala, Grand Prix Futsal Tournament in Manaus Brazil, FIFA Futsal World Cup and the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

He has more than twenty years experience coaching various levels of youth soccer in all ages and six years experience coaching in the US Soccer Development Academy league.
