Player/Parent Before Training Protocol

  • Players with any underlying medical conditions are required to contact their physician prior to participation in Evolution Soccer Club training/games and provide a doctor's note clearing them for participation.
  • Sign and submit 2020 Summer Evolution SC Registration.
  • Ensure your contact information is up to date on SportsEngine.
  • Player has not exhibited any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 (including fever, cough, shortness of breath) in the past 14 days. Fever is defined as a temperature above 100.4° F [37.8° C] and must be checked within 12 hours of each training session.
  • Player has not been exposed to someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 for at least 14 days prior to beginning training/activity.
  • Player must wash hands thoroughly prior to initiating training.
  • Required Personal Items to Bring to Training: personal hand sanitizer, face mask, soccer ball, water bottle.

Player/Parent Upon Arrival to Training Protocol

  • Exit the car “ready to play.” This means players have full equipment on including footwear.
  • Put on a face mask and proceed to the team training area.
  • Practice social distancing, remaining 6 feet away from any coach, player or staff whenever possible.
  • Parents who leave car must wear face mask and practice social distancing.
  • Do not assist your coach with equipment before training.
  • Compliance Coordinator will run through the Compliance Coordinator Checklist

Player/Parent During Training Protocol

  • Face masks are required to be worn by the players during training.
  • Group size must be limited to fifty (50) individuals or fewer.
  • All players must maintain at least a 5 yard distance between each other whenever possible.
  • No group celebrations, high-5s, hugs, handshakes, fistbumps, etc.
  • Do not touch or share anyone else’s equipment, water, food or bags.

Player/Parent After Training Protocol

  • Do not assist your coach with equipment after training.
  • Exit the field wearing your face mask and through a location designated by the Club and return to car immediately.
  • Players must wash hands thoroughly after training.
  • Ensure all clothing and equipment (cleats, ball, shin guards etc.) are sanitized before and after every training. Preferably, sanitize your equipment prior to entering vehicle. More information: CDC Cleaning and Disinfection Guidelines.
  • Notify immediately if the player becomes ill for any reason. Refer to CDC SelfChecker for guidance on making decisions and seeking medical care or notify healthcare provider.
  • Monitor email regularly for updates.


  • Face masks must be worn by all players (when playing as well as when on the sidelines), spectators, coaches and referees.
  • Players on bench should be spaced out at least 6-feet apart on benches should not be used.
  • No pre or post game handshakes, instead for sportsmanship teams should engage in a round of applause following the conclusion of the match.
  • Players for any preceding matches should wait in car until all players have left the field and area has been sanitized.
  • Evolution Soccer Club will create “Family areas” for spectators from the same residence at least 6 feet apart from one another and 6 feet off the sideline.
  • People from the same household can share one family area that is separated 6 feet apart.
  • Spectators should remain in designated area.
  • Attendance log of players, referees and spectators will be kept.
  • On site bleachers should be sanitized at the conclusion of each match.

Compliance Coordinator Information

Before you come Checklist

  • Fever free, feeling well and no known COVID-19 exposure for 14 days or more.
  • Have reviewed the Compliance Coordinator Protocols and are prepared to implement the outlined procedures.
  • Have a face mask and plan to wear it while interacting with players and other parents.
  • Have a charged, internet capable device with you to check-in players on.
  • Have a chair if desired.
